What We Do

ENVIRONMENT

Water Resources

Since our firm’s inception, watershed hydrologic and hydraulic studies and designs have been provided for storm water management ponds, BMP’s, open drainage channels, river diversions and stream rehabilitations incorporating bio-engineered solutions and “natural channel” systems.

CFA has also engineered several erosion and flood control, watercourse improvements, and slope stabilization projects for conservation authorities and municipalities.

Projects have included large culverts in open-cut and tunnel construction, as well as spillways, baffled-chutes and weirs, and other works for enhancing fish habitat and the natural environment. Storm water management and flood control projects are designed wherever possible, to provide versatile recreational facilities which enhance the communities they protect.

CFA has provided services for pedestrian/bicycle/vehicular trails and bridges and other various projects at numerous parks and recreational attractions including Toronto Zoo, Toronto Island, Exhibition Place, Molson Indy, etc.
