CFA has successfully delivered numerous projects utilizing various Trenchless Technologies and innovative tunneling solutions for the rehabilitation and construction of Water/Sewer pipelines. These trenchless solutions have been employed for cost-effectiveness, minimal disruption and environmental impact mitigation. Our experience includes horizontal directional drilling (HDD), slip-lining and cured-in-place pipe liners, and auger boring (Jack and Bore), for smaller and medium diameter pipelines as well as tunnels and under-crossings using Tunnel Boring and Digging Machines (TBM’s, TDM’s), pipe jacking and hand-mining methods.
Innovative solutions have also been provided such as the custom liner design developed for the relocation of the Low Level Interceptor Sewer in tunnel (1.8m x 2.4m) at Bay and Front Streets for the TTC Union Station Expansion. Our firm has completed numerous under-crossings of railways, major highways and roadways including Highway 401, for watercourses and water and wastewater pipelines throughout the GTA and surrounding areas.
