Job Definition – Construction Clerk:
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Construction Clerk to join our team.
As a Construction Clerk, you will play a vital role in supporting the operations of our construction sites, ensuring efficient communication between involved parties, and carrying out administrative tasks effectively.
Responsibilities:
The Construction Clerk will be responsible for the following, at a minimum:
- Providing general administrative support to the construction site team, including filing, data entry, and document management
- Collaborating closely with project managers, site supervisors, and subcontractors to ensure seamless communication and information flow
- Managing documents and files on the server and distributing them to clients
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of project-related documentation, such as contracts, permits, and change orders
- Quantity compiling and calculations for payment certificate preparation
- Collecting and summarizing weigh tickets
- Minute-taking and field work as required by the Site Coordinators
- Assisting the Construction Site Manager/Supervisor with other tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Construction Clerk or a similar role
- Working knowledge of road construction projects
- Proficient Microsoft Office skills and the capability to use CMS software programs, such as Aurigo.
- Sound written and verbal skills regarding construction terms and procedures
- Excellent organizational, record keeping, and time management skills
- A valid Ontario Class “G” Driver’s License and reliable transportation to and from work
- Post-secondary education in a relevant field is preferred
