Distribution & Collection Systems
Our firm’s experience includes the planning and design of large and small water distribution and sewage collection systems.
We believe that our experience in trunk mains and sewer installations is unparalleled. CFA has provided services for more than 150 contracts comprising some 200 km of trunk watermains and sewers, ranging in size from 600 mm to 2100 mm diameter, in urban built-up areas.
Trenchless technologies and innovative tunneling solutions have been employed for cost-effectiveness and to mitigate disruption and environmental impact. Our experience includes tunnels and under crossings using tunnel boring machines (TBM) and digging machines (TDM), pipe jacking and hand mining methods as well as directional drilling, slip-lining and pipe bursting for smaller diameter pipelines.
At CFA, we offer Sub-surface Utility Engineering (SUE) applied early on in projects, to avoid conflicts and costly delays later, during construction.
